
SOS NIKŠIĆ is a NGO that fights against violence committed upon women and children and provides shelter for the victims of domestic and other forms of violence. They wanted us to craft them the identity that would articulate what they stand for. We offered the idea of purple color as the color that suggests calmness, wisdom, sophistication.
Purple ribbon is also worn to raise awareness for domestic violence. We added a dove as a symbol of peace, with wings and tails raised up in the air, suggesting successful overcoming of troubled times. Dove holds the ribbon in its beak and becomes symbol against the violence.
Part of the corporate branding was a website, that serves as place where users can communicate with the organization, and for potential victims to seek help if needed. Together with the rebranding of SOS, fleka also made a new website for SOS Nikšić, that best suits the needs of this NGO. The old platform was very rigid and did not allow changes, while the new one is open source and very flexible. The new website features news, gallery forum and other institutional info, polls and is closely connected to Facebook where they have their official FB Profile Page.
It also features a donation number, created upon suggestion by fleka in cooperation with T-Mobile Crna Gora.
This way, SOS Nikšić is closely connected to the public, activists, volunteers, donors, local and regional NGOs acting in the same or similar field.
Earlier this year, in February, fleka did “Ne skrivaj pogled, prijavi nasilje” (Do not look away, report the (domestic) violence) guerilla campaign for raising awareness about domestic violence in city of Nikšić and promotion of SOS phone number for women and children in distress.
Domestic violence is growing problem within the municipality of Nikšić, so we were working closely with women from SOS Nikšić to come up with optimal solution for the campaign.
In the end, we decided on the combination of series of posters that were distributed guerrilla style, billboards that displayed the graphics and the message of the campaign and brochures that were distributed by SOS Nikšić activists. We also designed T-shirts that were worn during the campaign.
