• fleka day

    • 30 August 2010
    • During late winter and early spring fleka had grown quite a bit, and after a period of very demanding and challenging projects, we had figured out we could all use some break, get together on a BBQ venture in the National Park of Lovćen and have some fun! This was a good occasion for everybody to get to know each other in a more colloquial and relaxed fashion as well, especially because we do not have the same working hours, or we don't work together on the same projects.

      The BBQ

Although it was the end of April, the camp was still covered with patches of snow. Ladies were gently asked to grab a cup of warm beverage at the nearby restaurant while boys set up the camp. I must hand it out to them - guys did a great job of firing up the BBQ and preparing the refreshments. Few moments later, the greatest surprise of all was revealed - a barrel of sangria, made by a Spaniard. Such a delicious treat!

The following part of the day was reserved for standard BBQ activities - eating, drinking and laughing. We all really enjoyed spending time together, away from the office. Some of the crew went hiking later in the day, some stayed in the camp, either dozing away or playing endless game of Monopoly while drinking some more Sangria.

As the early evening approached, we packed the stuff back into the vehicles. Plan was to travel trough the rest of the Park, to the beautiful place overviewing whole Bay of Kotor.

Dark was slowly creeping in, so we had to say goodbye to magnificent view and continue home, admiring the nature still untouched by the capitalism and laughing at plethora of badly written road signs. We had absolutely amazing day together and hopefully, events of such kind would become a tradition.
